Welcome to Groningen

Febr. 27 – March 1, 2025

Advancements in Maxillofacial Rehabilitation

I invite you to attend a promising conference at the UMCG from February 27th to March 1st, 2025, focused on current and future developments in treating congenital and acquired oral, head, and neck conditions. This event marks a significant moment for me as I approach retirement after over 40 years in multidisciplinary care, helping patients regain a sense of normalcy in their lives.

Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the evolution of maxillofacial prosthodontics as a key partner in treatment teams, the growing involvement of patients in their care, and advancements like implantology and digital technology that have improved patients’ quality of life. It’s essential that we continue to share this knowledge and broaden access worldwide.

UMCG is renowned for such conferences, and I am honored to be part of the organizing committee again. I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and friends from around the world. The program includes keynote and free paper presentations, discussions on topics like reconstruction, facial prosthetics, implantology, and patient involvement, as well as a poster session with a contest winner who will present on stage.

The conference will also feature three pre-conference workshops on February 27th.

I encourage you to join us in Groningen, one of the Netherlands’ most charming student cities. I look forward to welcoming you!
